Obituary

Laverne "Jack" Leffel, 89, of Anderson died November 21, 2020 at Sugar Fork Crossing, after an extended illness.
He was born October 5, 1931, in Toledo, Ohio, the son of Millard and Catherine (Sherry) Leffel.
He served in the United States Navy during Korean War.
He was a tool & die maker at Delco Remy 40 years before retiring early 1990's.
He attended Chesterfield Community Church of God in Chesterfield and was a member of Lions Club in Lapel.
Jack is survived by his wife, Freida (Sigmon Silvers) Leffel whom he married December 2, 2012 in Anderson; three children, Laverne "Jack"(Brenda) Leffel, Jr. of Fredericksburg, VA; Steve (Jamie) Leffel of Chesterfield and Jean (Leonard) Settlemyer of Anderson; three step-children, Rodney (Terry) Silvers of Anderson; Debra (Steve) Case of Muncie, Mike (Denise) Silvers of Danville, IN; two sisters, Wilma Gerard and Barbara McGuire; several grandchildren, step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Thomas Leffel and his first wife, Mary Leffel.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, November 27, 2020 at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Jerry Grubbs of Chesterfield Community Church of God officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer's Association.
