Elisabeth Kuhner of Holliston, daughter of the late Stefan and Apollonia Kuhner, died on November 20, 2020 at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham.
She was born on March 28, 1934 in Filipowa in the former Yugoslavia. She is survived by her sisters, Anna Karches, Rosalia Keller and Katharina Sobottka, as well as the many members of her loving extended family who will miss her bright spirit, sense of fun, and kind and generous nature. She is predeceased by her brother Josef Kuhner and her sister Eva Dietrich.
Elisabeth worked at Sage Laboratories for many years and always said that she and her coworkers “grew up together.” Spending time with family and close friends was always the most important thing for her, though - whether the occasion was a weekend Kaffeeklatsch, a fiercely competitive card game, or the holiday celebrations she loved. She was always ready to tell a story about the old days, share the delicious food she made, and pass on her old-world cooking tips and techniques to the new generations in the family.
She will be interred at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Holliston with a private graveside service.
