Therese “Tee” M. (Wing) Curry, age 84, passed away on Nov. 18, 2020 at the Chicopee Rehabilitation and Nursing Center surrounded by family. She was born on January 2, 1936 in Springfield, the daughter of the late Charles F., and Elizabeth C. (Malley) Wing. She was a lifelong resident of Chicopee and a class of 1953 graduate of Chicopee High School. Therese worked for American Bosch, Chicopee Public Library and retired from Springfield College as a reference librarian. She is predeceased by her husband of 37 years, Herbert Curry, who passed away in 1994. She is survived by her daughter Nancy Mottor and her husband David of Easthampton; 1 brother David Wing and his wife Jeannie of Wells, ME along with 3 beloved grandchildren, Caelin, Brenna and Ronan. She is predeceased by her daughters, Maureen Rege, Susan Curry and Tracy Curry along with her brothers Charles, her twin, and Patrick Wing. Therese also leaves her lifelong friends Joan and Bill Sears and dear friend Dee Habel. One of her favorite things to do was watch her grandchildren play sports. Tee enjoyed going for “mystery” rides with her friends Bette Doyle, Pat Maroney and Dorothy Grigaitis. Tee found great enjoyment with her pizza parties with Liz Veit and Eddie Dowd. The family would like to thank the staff at Chicopee Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for the wonderful care and compassion given to Therese during her stay there. Calling hours will be held on the morning of the funeral, Saturday, November 28, from 9:30 – 10:30 AM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee followed by a Memorial Mass in Sacred Heart Church at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place in St Patrick’s Cemetery.
