Isaac Groves, 53, of Tifton and Warner Robins died Wednesday, March 8, 2006 in Warner Robins. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Eddie Allen will officiate with burial to be held in Oakridge Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brandon Groves, Kenneth Groves, Bubba Groves, David Adcock, Dillon Swafford and Justin Golden. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 11, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson.
Mr. Groves was born on March 30, 1952 in Berrien County and was the son of James Elzie Groves, Sr. and Lela Frances Jenkins Groves, both deceased. He was a farm worker and a member of the Baptist Faith. He attended Tift County High School and lived in Tift County most of his life and moved to Warner Robins in 1992.
Survivors include five brothers: James Elzie Groves, Jr. of Adel, Joe Groves of Whigham, Walter Groves of Cairo, Warren Groves of Hahira and Mitchell Groves of Adel; three sisters, Helen DeVol of Fort Valley, Bea Adcock of Eldorado and Alice Denny of Dublin.
