Obituary

BIDDEFORD- Richard “Ric” Roland Bouchard, age 69, passed away on Veteran’s Day, November 11, 2020, at his home surrounded by family. He was born July 22, 1951 in Danvers, Massachusetts to Armand and Ruth Bouchard. He graduated from Masconomet Regional High School in 1969. From there he enlisted into the Marine Corp in 1971, just before turning 20. He was deployed to Hawaii and where he worked on the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II. He loved to share his memories of his time in Hawaii with anyone who would listen. Serving his country was something he was extremely proud of. He left the Marines in 1975 as a Sergeant. He always relished time with his family and friends, whether it was during the holidays, mini golfing, going out for seafood or just having a cup of coffee and talking. He had a passion for art at a young age. He enjoyed photography, painting and design. He was fond of gardening; roses were a specialty of his. He never missed a Patriots game with his daughter where they had many pregame traditions, including lots of food, cheers of root beer, game day clothes and pictures. He enjoyed driving to the beach or climbing the rocks in Ogunquit. You might even catch him blasting some Queen, Foreigner or the oldies, singing and dancing around. He had such positive energy and a great big smile. He was predeceased by his parents Armand Bouchard, who passed in March of 2004 and Ruth (Townsend) Bouchard, who passed in September of 1991 and his brother John Bouchard, who passed in September of 2012. He is survived by his beloved daughter Aja (Bouchard) Dyer and husband Steven Dyer, of Biddeford, Maine. His sister Carolyn (Bouchard) Pridden and husband Bill Pridden, El Dorado, CA. Brother Armand “Bob” Bouchard, Jr. and wife Lorraine Bouchard, of Little Falls, NY. Sister-in Law Debbie Barton, of Cold Brook, NY. Brother Wayne Bouchard and wife Linda Bouchard, of Northwood, NH. Brother Joseph Bouchard, Sr. and wife Kristin “Krissy” Bouchard, of Deerfield, NH. Sister Nancy (Bouchard) Crotty and husband James Crotty I, of Kingston, NH. Brother Kris Bouchard and wife Bethany “Beth” Bouchard, Effingham, NH. His nieces Debbie, Jackie, Michelle, Jennifer, Calah, Kaci and Nicole. His nephews Brian, Aaron, Keith, Timothy, Joshua, Joseph Jr., James II, Steven and Andrew. Plus, many more great nieces, nephews and cousins. Due to the unfortunate events going on right now, we are looking to hold a Celebration of Life party in the Spring/Summer of 2021. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to, Semper FI and America’s Fund, www.semperfifund.org.
