Barbara L. "Barb" Wright, 83, of Anderson passed away on November 10, 2020 at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born in Anderson, IN on August 16, 1937 to Raymond Sylvester and Eva Mae (Caton) Boyer. She graduated from Anderson High School in the Class of 1955. She worked in production at Delco Remy for 32 years and retired in 1999.
She attended Madison Park Church of God. She enjoyed crocheting, being a volunteer at Community Hospital as a pink lady; visiting patients in various nursing homes and being a part of the Red Hat Society.
She is survived by her spouse, James Howard "Jim" Wright of Anderson whom she married on December 30, 1966; 7 children, William "Bill" (Darla) Wright, Gayla DeLeonard, James "Jimmy" Quick, Cynthia "Cindy" Smith, Teresa (Pastor Daniel "Danny", Sr.) Robinson, Richard "Rick" Wright and Corrina "Cori" (David "Dave") Meeks; a daughter-in-law, Linda Quick; 9 grandchildren, Brianna Neylon, Benjamin Smith, Daniel Robinson, Jr., Christian Robinson, Te'anna Redmon, Joshua Robinson, Sierra Wright, Saundra Graves, Joshua Quick and Joshua Meeks; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons, Timothy " Tim" Quick and James "Jay" Wright, and a son-in-law, Artie Smith.
A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Daniel W. Robinson, Sr. officiating. Burial will be at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society, Alzheimer's Association or Charity of the Donor's Choice.
