WORCESTER/MEDFORD-Marta A. (DeMorais) Carpenter, 39, of 3 Valley Rd., Medford formerly of Worcester died Monday, March 6 after a sudden illness.
She leaves her husband, Stephen J. Carpenter; her mother, Darcila (Aquino) DeMorais a brother, Deuzimar Jose De Morais; two sisters, Miriam Conceicao Morais Lima and Mary Silva Morais Carmo all of Brazil.
She was born in Anapolis, GO, Brazil the daughter of the late Oscar Jose DeMorais and lived in Worcester until moving to Medford four months ago. Marta worked at Town & Country Cleaners in Worcester before moving to Medford
Visiting hours will be Thursday, March 9 from 5:00 until 7:30 PM with a Prayer Service to be held at 7:30 until 8:00 PM at CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. Burial will be in Brazil. For directions and online condolences please visit www.callahanfay.com.
