Worcester - Robert H. "Whitey" Lusignan, 73, of 34 Canterbury St. a retired foreman died Monday Nov. 19 in St. Vincent Hospital - Worcester Medical Center.
He leaves one son Robert P. Lusignan of Houston, TX; three daughters Claudette Lusignan of Sturbridge, Terry Earle of Spencer and Brenda Dacey of North Brookfield; his mother Jessie (Smith) Lusignan of Auburn; four brothers Richard Lusignan of Port St. Lucie, FL, Donald Lusignan of Oxford, Roger Lusignan of East Brookfield and Russell Lusignan of Leicester; two sisters Joyce Cardin of Sutton and Linda Sullivan of Auburn; a companion Delores Sciamacco of Worcester; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and several nephews and nieces. Mr. Lusignan is predeceased by his first wife Katherine (Bachand) Lusignan. He was born in Worcester son of Armand Lusignan.
Mr. Lusignan worked as a foreman in the grinding and forge departments at Wyman Gordon Co. for over 25 years retiring in 1990. He previously worked for the Pullman Standard Co.
He was a member of the United Steel Workers Union, the UCT bowling and golf leagues and the Worcester Dart League.
The funeral will be held on Saturday Nov. 24 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a mass at 10 AM in Holy Name of Jesus Church 53 Illinois St.. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday Nov. 23 from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
