CHICOPEE – Lucille “Lu” (Boutin) St. Marie, age 91, of Holyoke, Massachusetts and a former longtime resident of the Aldenville section of Chicopee, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2020 after a long illness. Born November 11, 1928, in Chicopee, MA, a daughter of the late Alfred and Florida (Yargeau) Boutin. Lucille lived most of her life in Aldenville. She also lived in Orange, MA from 2005-2015, followed by several years at Mont Marie Health Care Center in Holyoke. Lucille ran her own business, Lucille’s Wig Boutique, from home for 28 years after eight years as a manager for Eva Gabor Wigs at the Fairfield and Eastfield Malls. She was also previously employed at A.G. Spalding. Lucille was predeceased by her beloved husband, Leonard “Red” St. Marie in 2010; her brothers, Rudolphe “John” Boutin and Alfred Boutin, Jr.; her sister, Rita (Boutin) Cammick; her granddaughter, Erin (Kodys) McKay; and her grandson, Christopher St. Marie. She will be sadly missed by her five loving children, Dr. Richard St. Marie of El Dorado, CA, Diane Kodys and her husband, Richard, of Templeton, MA, Barbara Lapa and her husband, Richard, of Chicopee, Steven St. Marie and his wife, Mary, of Westhampton, MA and Alanna Lunden and her husband, David, of Chicopee; her caring former daughter-in-law, Donna (Cyboron) St. Marie of Unionville, CT; her 14 cherished grandchildren; her 20 beloved great-grandchildren; her six beloved great-great grandchildren; her dear brother, Daniel Boutin and his wife, Kathy, of Chicopee; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Lucille’s caregivers at Mont Marie Health Care Center, especially the deeply appreciated third floor staff for their care and compassion. Funeral Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
