Anthony “Tony” Caruso, 90 of Somerville died Tuesday after a long illness in the Aberjona Nursing Center Winchester, MA.
Born in Rutland, VT, he lived in Somerville for over 70 years and was the son of the late Philomena (Lombardi) and John Caruso. Tony worked at the former A&P Warehouse in Boston as a Supervisor for 40 years and retired in 1978. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II from 1945 to 1946.
Beloved husband of Mary (Corrao) Caruso. Devoted father of Mary Valentino and her husband Ralph of Salisbury, Anthony J. Caruso and his wife Sandy of Medford, Barbara Whelan and her husband Patrick of Burlington, John Caruso and his wife Paula of Burlington. Also survived by 9 loving grandchildren and 10 loving great grandchildren.
Funeral from Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 11 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Wednesday 4 thru 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
