Jean C. (McKenzie) Harris of Malden passed away on Friday, October 30th. She was 88. Born and raised in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Viola (Colton) McKenzie. Jean moved to Medford in the late 1970s, and has resided in Malden for the past 25 years. She was employed for many years as a supervisor at Stop & Shop.
Jean was the beloved wife of the late James B. Harris, and the devoted mother of James Harris, Scott Harris and his wife Deanna, all of Malden, Linda Bucci and her husband Dominic of Peabody, Lisa Williams and her husband David of Melrose, Jeff Harris and his wife Marianne of Salem, NH, Jay Harris and his wife Kimberly of Malden, and the late Steven Harris. She was the loving grandmother of Carissa, Caitlyn, Carli, Ashley, Cameron, Andrew, Cayla, Nicholas, Makenzie, Ryan, Brittany, Briana and Kelsey. Jean is predeceased by eight brothers and sisters and leaves behind many loving nieces and nephew.
A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, on Wednesday, November 4th at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Jean’s name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorials Processing, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
