Phyllis Arlene George (84) of Brockton died October 26th in the Alliance at West Acres Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Joseph George III.
She was born in Wareham, daughter of the late Frederick Mitchell and Blanche A. (Bumpus) Mitchell. Phyllis enjoyed country music, watching westerns, playing her harmonica, saltwater handline fishing, playing horseshoes, croquette and socialize with family and friends. She was especially known for loving her “bling”.
Phyllis is survived by 2 sons, Joseph C. and Justin A. George both of Brockton, her daughter Jean Bennett of West Yarmouth, (mother of the late Tina M. Caddell), her brother Milton Mitchell of Athol, 4 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Michelle and Kristin, 6 great grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jacob, Jonathan, Juliana, Cadence and Samuel, also 2 great grandchildren on the way, Addison and Daniel.
Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Thursday October 29th from 4-8 pm. Cremation to follow.
