Jason M. “Jay” Goodwin, Sr., 43, of Londonderry, NH passed away Saturday October 24, 2020 in Parkland Medical Center of Derry, NH, after a sudden illness. Jay was born January 18, 1977 in Nashua, NH and was a son of Robert T. and Shirley (Lansil) Goodwin. He was raised and educated in Derry and was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy. He has resided in Londonderry for the past 15 years.
Jay was the owner J.A.G. Communications of Londonderry for 15 years. He was a lifelong fan of the NE sports teams and University of Alabama Football. He enjoyed motorcycling and snowmobiling, golf, camping, travel and he loved rock n’ roll.
In addition to his parents of Derry; he is survived by his wife of 20 years, Christen (Gauthier) Goodwin; his son, Jason M. Goodwin, Jr.; his two daughters, Megan Goodwin and Kaylea Perin; a brother, Allen Goodwin and his wife Jessica; his paternal grandmother, Doris (Cronin) Goodwin; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Jay was predeceased by his brother, Rob in 2018, his maternal grandparents, Clifford L. Lansil and June (Snyder) Caney and his paternal grandfather T. Allen Goodwin.
A walk-through wake with masks, social distancing and limited interaction with the family will be held Thursday, October 29th from 11:00am – 2:00pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A graveside service will be held following visitation at 3:00pm in the Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry Rd., Derry.
