Maria de Jesus (Amaral) Freitas, 94 of Fall River, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, October 22, 2020. She was the wife of the late Antonio Moniz Freitas. Born in Furnas, São Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of Manuel and Maria José (Ramiro) Amaral.
Maria leaves seven children, Armando Freitas and his wife Fatima, Antonio Freitas and his wife Conceião of Brampton,OT, José Manuel Freitas and his wife Liduina, Graça Pimentel, Fatima Pimentel and her husband Jaime, Luis Freitas and his wife Mariazinha of Fall River, Maria de Jesus Almeida and her husband Emanuel all of Fall River, 23 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Mario Freitas.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2020, from 5-7 PM in the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 26, 2020 in St. Michael Church Essex St. Fall River at 10:00 A.M. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery. The guidelines set forth by State of Massachusetts will be observed, face coverings are required and 25 people will be allowed in at a time.
