Sterling- Dorothy (Hodgson) Holroyd, 91, of 20 Tanglewood Rd., died Saturday, March 4, in Health Alliance- Leominster Hospital.
Her husband of 62 years, Herbert J. Holroyd, died in 1999. She leaves a daughter, Ellen L. Brown and her husband Michael; two grandchildren, Aaron K. Brown and Alexandra H. “Lexie” Brown, all of Sterling. She was born in McKeesport, PA, daughter of Edward and Matilda (Fritz) Hodgson and lived in Sudbury for many years. She later lived in Kissimmee, FL, before moving here in 1996.
Mrs. Holroyd was a secretary at Memory Technology Co., retiring in 1979.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 11, in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue, Paxton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dorothy’s memory may be made to the Sterling Animal Shelter, 17 Laurelwood Rd., Sterling, MA 01564. DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., Worcester, is assisting with arrangements.
