Bourne – Jayme Dias, age 79, of New Bedford, MA passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Bourne Manor Skilled Nursing Center.
Born in Bridgeport, CT he was the beloved son of the late Germano Dias and Maria (Vieira) Dias. Jayme had been a U.S. Army Veteran and had served during the Vietnam War Era. He later went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree and had worked as a Counselor in the New Bedford Public School System.
He is survived by his 5 children, Lisa Dias, Sonya Dias, Tracy Dias-Jones, Jayme A. Dias and Maria Dias; 3 grandchildren, Jayme Dias, Zion Setal and Amyah Dias. He is also survived by his siblings, Herculano Dias, Eva Fernandes and Eugenia Monteiro; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Jayme’s visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2020 from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. His funeral will be Friday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Assumption at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow in Bourne National Cemetery at 12:45 P.M.
