Leoncio Rodriguez, 78, of Worcester died Monday, October 19th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center – Memorial Campus. He leaves his wife, Candida Rodriguez; three sons, Carlos Rodriguez, Oscar Torres, Rosendo Mrquez; three daughters, Sonia Torres, Berta Rodriguez and Josefina Torres; three brothers; a sister and four grandchildren, Roxana Espinal, Ashley Torres, Nazen Espinal and Melany Espinal.
He was born in Launion, El Salvador the son of Rufino Merlos and Tiodora Rodriguez and was a member of the El Salvadorian Air Force. Leoncio was a machine operator for many years.
His funeral is Tuesday, October 27th with a service at 9:30 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday, October 26th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home. Social Distancing and the use of face masks that cover the nose and mouth will be part of the protocol at all of Leoncio’s services.
