Merlon M. Miles, 88, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, October 19, 2020, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Miles was born February 21, 1932, in Lamar County, Alabama, to the late Belton & Gertie Newman Miles. He was a truck driver for many years and also worked for Planters Warehouse. He was a member of Arbor Baptist Church.
He is survived by a brother, Ted Miles of Haleyville, Alabama and a sister-in-law, Virginia Miles of Fitzgerald as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Carolyn Hunter Miles; a son, Johnny Max Miles; and a brother, Donald Miles
