Obituary

Mrs. Judith Tanner Hannah, 80, of Rochelle, Georgia, died Friday, October 16, 2020, at her home in Rochelle.

Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at Stokesville Baptist Church Cemetery in Atkinson County, with the Rev. Bill Tracy officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-8 Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.

Mrs. Hannah was born in the family home on April 20, 1940, to the late Wright Pinkney & Elon Gibbs Williamson. She graduated form Fitzgerald High School and attended South Georgia Technical School in Americus where she received her Associates degree in Cosmetology. She worked in a salon in Douglas following her graduation. She and Mr. Tanner ran the family farm and she farmed alongside Mr. Hannah as well. Mrs. Hannah loved sewing, reading, caring for animals, fishing, and spending time with her family. She was a member of Christian Home Baptist Church and was a former member of Salem Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda & David Cliett and granddaughter, Elon Elizabeth Cliett, all of Rochelle; sisters: Marcia Parks of Rochelle and Linda & Needam Carver of Moultrie as well as a sister-in-law, Willie Vu Williamson of Cordele. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, William T. “Binks” Tanner and Reuben Hannah; four sisters; and two brothers.
