Houston D. Brown, 66, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at Tift Regional Medical Center. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2020, at New River Holiness Church in Berrien County with Mark Brown, Kim Myers and Dion Hale giving eulogies. Mr. Brown will be laid to rest at New River Holiness Church Cemetery in Berrien County. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 16, 2020, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Covid protocol being observed.
Garrett Myers, Grant Brown, Joey Brown, Mack Deason, Mark Parker, Clay Connell, Tim Stone and Michael West will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Brock, Calvin Hale, Larry Hale, Spencer Morgan, Ronnie Morgan and Tracy Hale.
Born December 21, 1953 in Cook County, Mr. Brown was the son of Emma Nell Connell Brown of Nashville and the late Billy Darrell Brown. Before retiring, he was a cabinet maker. He was a deacon and a faithful member of New River Holiness Church in Berrien County and he was a supporter of the MS Society.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Anita Morgan Brown of Tifton; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Christie Brown of Adel; one daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Randall Myers of Lenox; two grandsons, Garrett Myers and Grant Brown; and two brothers, Roger Brown and Russell Brown, both of Adel.
