TEWKSBURY - Paul Reynolds, a retired letter carrier for Boston’s US Postal Service, died
Saturday evening, Mar. 4, at the Kindred Care Hospital in Peabody, following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Somerville, Sept. 15, 1941, a son of the late Charles and Eleanor (Dutra)
Reynolds, and had lived in Somerville until retirement. Following retirement, he lived in
Gilmanton, NH.
He served in the U.S. Army in the years between the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a
member of the 2nd Armored Cavalry stationed in Germany, assigned to patrol the Berlin Wall.
Upon discharge, he joined the U.S. Postal Service, as a letter carrier in both Boston and
Somerville.
In his earlier years, he was active in the Boy Scouts of America, as a Troop Master in Somerville,
and in later years was active in the Gilmanton, NH, chapter of the American Legion.
He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Philip and Patricia Reynolds of Tewksbury; a sister,
June Babwin of San Carlos, CA; a lifelong friend and brother-in-law, Louis Longo of Woburn;
and many nieces and nephews.
He was also brother of the late Howard Reynolds and Ruth Longo.
A Prayer Service was held Wednesday evening, March 8, in the
funeral home. Following cremation, interment will be private. Memorials to
the American Kidney Foundation, 85 Astor Ave., Suite 2, Norwood, MA 02062, will be
appreciated.
