FALL RIVER - Deolinda (Costa) Fernandes, age 76, residence 1748 Highland Ave. Fall River, died Saturday in Fall River at Highlander Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Walter Fernandes and the late Paul Williams. She is survived by 4 Sons: Joseph Williams of Assonet, Paul Williams of Fall River, Walter Fernandes of Dartmouth, and Robert Fernandes of Fall River, 4 Grandchildren, 10 Great-grandchildren, and Several Nieces and Nephews. She was the sister of the late Joseph Costa, Mary, Virginia, and Delia.
Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Francisco Costa and the late Maria (Sousa) Costa. She was a resident of Fall River for all of her life. Before retiring, she was employed as a Sewing Machine Operator for a Curtain Mfg. Co. in Fall River.
Her Funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 North Main Street on Tuesday Morning with a Visitation from 8:30-9:30 A.M. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anne’s Church, So. Main St. Fall River at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Stafford Rd., Fall River.
