Esco Esta Surrency Moore, 92, of Tifton died Sunday, March 5, 2006 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Leila Methodist Church. Rev. John S. Gibbs, Sr. will officiate with burial to follow in Leila Methodist Church Cemetery. Grandsons, Clinton Moore, Kenneth Moore, Ricky Moore, Michael Moore, Craig Moore and Howard Moore will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 7, 2006 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson.
Ms. Moore was born on May 14, 1913 in Cook County and was the daughter of John Alex and Minnie Viola McGee Surrency, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Story "Buck" Moore, who died in 1969; three sons, R.A. Moore, Carlton Russell Moore and Delton Wayne Moore; and 20 brothers and sisters. She was a retired lunchroom worker with the Tift County School System, was of the Baptist Faith and had lived in Tift County since 1975.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Loyd Houston and Carolyn Moore of Tifton; one daughter, Evelyn Moore Green of Lakeside, California; two daughters-in-law, Bessie Mae Moore of Tifton and Jeanette Moore of Norman Park; one sister-in-law, Charlotte Surrency of Sylvester; 29 grandchildren; 61 great grandchildren; and 46 great great grandchildren.
