WESTPORT – Nicolau F. Torres, age 70 of Westport, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2020 in the comforts of his home with his family by his side. Born in Pedreira do Nordeste, Sao Miguel, Acores, Nicolau was the son of the late Antonio P. and Maria L. (Franco) Torres. He is also the beloved husband of Ana (Rebelo) Torres.
Prior to retiring, Nicolau worked as a Machine Operator for the former Quaker Mfg. Co., and he was a parishioner of Espirito Santo Church.
In addition to his Wife of Westport, survivors include his three Children: Louise Torres of Westport, Sherry Silva and Paul Torres both of Fall River; three Brothers: Marcelino, Antonio, and Mario Torres; four Grandchildren: Luke Pereira, Katrina, Caitlyn, and Dustin Miranda; three Great Grandchildren: Noah Vieira, Kara and CJ Gilpatrick; many Nieces & Nephews. Nicolau was also the brother of the late Marcelino Torres.
A funeral mass for Nicolau to which all are invited will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 13th in Espirito Santo Church, Alden St. at 10:00A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery.
