Obituary

Tina M. Lipp, 51, of Ledyard, formerly of Stonington, passed away Friday October 2nd, 2020, while surrounded by her family.

Tina was born on November 3rd, 1968, to John and Barbara (Paquette) Lipp. She grew up in Stonington and graduated from Stonington High School in 1986.

Tina had a passion to help others which she did throughout her life as a nurse, a cheerleading coach, and being a great mother to her two daughters.

Tina became a nurse in 1993 after graduation from Three Rivers Community College. She had true love for her work as a nurse and always enjoyed going above and beyond for her residents. She was most recently the MDS Coordinator at StoneRidge in Mystic, where she worked for 18 years.

Tina’s passion for cheerleading started at a young age. Tina had cheered for Stonington High School herself before later dedicating her life to coaching. Tina coached many cheer teams including Stonington Youth Cheer teams, Stonington High School, and Ledyard Youth League Cheerleading. She most recently coached the 2019 Ledyard seniors. She will be greatly missed by many in the cheer community.

Tina is survived by her father John Lipp Jr., her partner Mark Werner, and her two daughters, Jaelyn Werner and Whitney Lipp. Tina also leaves a sister, Jaime Boozer, and husband, Keith Boozer, and a brother, John Lipp III, and wife, Liza Lipp. Tina will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews, Johnny, Nathan, Noah, Makiyah, and Jaxon.

Calling hours for Tina will be held Sunday October 11th, 2020, from 2-4pm at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17n Pearl Street Mystic. Burial and service will be private.
