John M. MacKenzie, age 87, of Sharon, previously of Ft. Myers, FL and Medford passed away October 4th. Born in Concord, he was raised in Maynard, attended Maynard High School, graduated from Andover High School and went on to serve in the United States Marine Corp for several years. John worked as an Accountant for the Cambridge Trust Bank for many years before retiring. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Medford and was an avid reader and Boston Sports fan. Beloved husband of the late Mary (Murphy). Step-father of Kathy Kozul, Patrice Descristoforo, Lisa Shankour and Sharon Parillo. Brother of Lawrence MacKenzie of Sharon, Lynda Butler of FL, and the late Donald MacKenzie. Also survived by several grandchildren. Funeral services private.
