Elma G Flores, age 67, of Copperas Cove, TX, passed away on September 28, 2020 in Fillmore, CA. Elma was born in Mertzon, TX to Juan Molinar Flores and Ascencion Gomez on December 21, 1952.
Elma is survived by the following family: Children-Dora Sanchez, Daniel Flores, Araceli Sanchez, and Linda Sanchez; Siblings-Eva Olivas, Reimundo Flores, Emily Flores, Juan M Flores Jr, Marta Perez, Olga Garcia, and Felipe Garcia Jr; 12 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her father Juan M Flores, brother Adam G Flores, and Stepfather Felipe Garcia; Husband Daniel R Sanchez; Paternal Grandparents-Juan Flores and Cruz Flores; Maternal Grandparents-Braulio Gomez and Francisca Gomez.
My words to you Mom, from your daughter Dora: If there were traits and characteristics I learned from you, they were the following: You were very high-spirited, funny and witty, had a great sense of humor, made others laugh and always had a smile. Yet you were humble, giving, extremely loving, had a huge heart, and always had a plate of food to give, especially those tortillas. Thank you for giving me the honor to share these last couple of months with you and spoil you like a mother should be spoiled. I love you to eternity and beyond.
I’d like to thank God first and foremost, for the blessings he bestows daily, my fiancé Martin Herrera for loving my Mom as if she were his own and giving her the best attention ever; for being my rock and my strength. I love you! My Flores Family and Sanchez Family-no matter the distance, you all were here, whether in prayers, in thoughts, FaceTime or in person. I love you all so much! My children-Anthony, Daleth, and Daniella and my sister Sally-my foundations to true love and physical support! My closest friends-LaTina Berkley, Patty Chavez, and Cynthia Tadeo-thank you for your words, your love, your support, and for being my Sisters!
Graveside Service will be held at Killeen Cemetery, 2408 E Rancier Ave, Killeen, TX 76543 on Saturday, October 17th, 2020 at 10:00 am with Father Chris Downey of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Killeen, Tx. Following the service and burial, a Celebration of Life will be held at:
413 Hill St, Copperas Cove, TX 76522. Due to COVID-19, we are respecting the recommended restrictions for social distancing and gatherings. We understand should you not be able to attend. However, for those who attend we request you wear a mask. Blessings!
