Louise Bass Arrington Boyd died Saturday, March 4, 2006, at Sunrise Nursing Home in Moultrie. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2006 in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. John S. Gibbs, Sr. will officiate with a private burial to follow at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday evening, March 6, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson
Ms. Boyd was born on April 1, 1933 in Chowan County, North Carolina and was the daughter of Kenneth and Ada Lee Hawkins Bass, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn T. Boyd. She was a retired waitress and a member of Friend Baptist Church in Moultrie.
Survivors include six sons: W. T. Boyd of Enigma, Ernest Boyd of Norman Park, Kenneth Boyd of Blairsville, Jimmy Boyd of Enigma, Larry Boyd of Tifton and Ronnie Boyd of Tifton; six daughters, Kathy Kearce of Moultrie, Betty Furney of Moultrie, Darlene Foreman of Chula, Susie Crum of Enigma, Barbara Payne of Tifton and Flossie Boyd of Tifton; one brother, Ray Bass of Stone Mountain; one sister, Ginny Allen of Covington; 35 grandchildren; and 44 great grandchildren.
