Maria Luisa (Paiva) Coelho, 101, died at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Thursday, March 2. She was the wife of the late Joao F. Coelho. Born in Lajedo, Flores, Portugal, Mrs. Coelho resided in Stoughton for 49 years. She was a homemaker at home with her family.
Mrs. Coelho is survived by her daughters, Maria do Rosario Thomas of Canada, Maria de Jesus Serpa, Maria Ines Jorge, Sarah Coelho and Helen Coelho all of Stoughton as well as her niece, Maria do Rosario Rodrigues of Portugal. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers and sisters.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, March 6 at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:15 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Stoughton.
