Antonio C. DeMelo. Age 77. Husband of Laurentina (Feijo) DeMelo. Residence 42 Tobin St., Fall River. Died Friday in Fall River at his home. Born in Sao Miguel, Azores. Son of the late Joao C. DeMelo and the late Estrela(Medeiros) DeMelo.He was a resident of Fall River for 44 years. Before retiring he was employed for 40 years as a construction foreman for Local 610. He was a member of the New Hope Christian Church in Swansea.
Besides his Wife of Fall River, he is survived by 3 Sons:John C. DeMelo of Fall River, Manuel C. DeMelo of Fall River and Antonio C. DeMelo Jr.of East Freetown. 2 Brothers:Adorico DeMelo of Fall River and Manuel DeMelo of Sao Miguel, Azores. 5 Grandchildren and Several Nieces and Nephews.He also had many late Brothers and 2 late Sisters.
His Funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 North Main Street, Fall River, MA on Saturday at 8:45 A.M. followed by a Funeral Service in the New Hope Christian Church, 1463 GAR Highway Swansea, MA at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River, MA.
