Jon E. Rendo, 73, of Salem, MA, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020. He was born in East Derry, New Hampshire on August 6, 1947. Jon was the beloved son of Elaine (Latulippe) and the late John F. Rendo.
Jon graduated with a BS in Cartography, Cum laude, from Salem State College. He went on to work as an Institutional Advancement Technician for the college. In that role he was responsible for the graphic design and cartography of several local publications.
In his younger years, he owned and operated Northeast Fiberglass Company and was a foreman for Graves Yacht Yards, Marblehead, MA. During that time, he enjoyed working on the ships, meeting new people and forming many lasting friendships. Jon was an avid reader, a dedicated New England sports fan and recently developed an interest in all things culinary.
Besides his loving mother, Elaine, he is survived by his sons; Nathan Rendo of Texas, Aaron Rendo of Massachusetts, Justin Rendo of Maine and two grandchildren. Jon is also survived by his siblings, Jeanna Orphanidys, Patricia Norton, James Rendo, Mary LaFreniere and several nieces and nephews.
