Regina T. "Reggie" (Burns) Reynolds, a 60 year resident of Medford and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, September 27, 2020. She was 94 years of age.
Reggie was born in Boston on October 11, 1925, a daughter of the late John J. Burns and Julia (Warren) Burns. She grew up in Charlestown where she attended St. Mary's Parochial School and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1943. Reggie worked for John Hancock Life Insurance Company for 12 years as a Death Claims Analyst. She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching Jeopardy every evening. Family was paramount in Reggie's life and she dedicated her love and care to her husband and children and then her grandchildren.
Reggie is the beloved wife of the late Joseph H. "Joe" Reynolds. She is the devoted mother of Stephen Reynolds and his wife Laurie, Michael Reynolds and his wife Breda, Nancy Morin and her husband Rick, Brian Reynolds and Jean Reynolds and her partner Laurie Guiney. She is the loving Nana to Julie and Keith Reynolds, Kylie and Nieve Morin, and to her great-granddaughters Ella and Hailey Reynolds. She is the proud Godmother of Judy Davis and Diane Downing. She is the beloved sister of the late Catherine "Kitty" Shields, Anna "Bunty" Noonan, Mary Christine Burns, John Burns, Helen Kearns, Margaret Wiley, Dorothy Ruiz, and Judy Peters. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives & friends are invited to attend Reggie's Funeral on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Her burial will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Her visiting hours will be on Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
