Mrs. Phyllis A. (Barrasso) Colarusso, age 93, died Thursday, March 2, 2006 in Medford after a brief illness. A Medford resident for the last 52 years, Phyllis was born and raised in East Boston. Phyllis was the devoted daughter of the late Lucia (Mottola) & Thomas Barrasso.
Working as a legal secretary Phyllis worked up until her 80th birthday. She worked for many years in Boston, most notably for Attn. Sumner Fox of Beacon St. Boston and her last position for Segal, Roitman & Coleman, also of Beacon St. Boston. As mentioned earlier she retired in 1993 near her 80th birthday. Phyllis also attended St. Clement Church and was a longtime choir member.
Phyllis was the beloved wife of the late Enrico Colarusso. Devoted mother of Philip Colarusso and his wife Dorothy of Revere, Elaine Fiske and her husband Robert Jeffrey of Andover. Dear sister of Mary Latores and Betty Barrasso both of Somerville and the late Carmen Barrasso, Nedio Barrasso, Dorothy Cook, Helen DiStasio and Louise DiSilva.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Monday at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 3 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Riverside Cemetery, North Reading.
