Obituary

Jeanne (Stockwell) Levine, a resident of the Oak Hill section of Newton, died Thurs March 2, 2006 at West Newton Health & Rehabilitation. She was 84.
Born in Brunswick, VT she came to the Boston area in the 1920’s. She graduated from St. Anne’s Academy in Marlborough and from Syracuse University. She served with the U.S. Navy during WW II and was assigned to the Bureau of Ships in Washington, DC. A resident of Newton since 1952 she had worked for over 30 years for New England Mobile Book Fair in Newton Highlands. Following her retirement she was active at the Senior Place in West Roxbury.
Wife of the late Robert Levine she is survived by her sons Emmons Levine of Needham, and Robert Levine and his wife Amy of Yarmouthport, and her grandson Jack Levine.
Relatives and friends will gather at the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. NEWTON CORNER on Monday March 6 at 9 AM and proceed to a Mass of Christian Burial in Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Church, Elliot St. Newton Upper Falls at 10 AM. Interment with Military Honors will follow at The Gardens at Gethsemane in West Roxbury. Visiting hours will be in the funeral home on Sun from 3-6 PM.
