
PROVIDENCE - Michael A. Perreira, age 76, of Fall River, passed away on September 19, 2020 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Deborah (Handrigan) Perreira. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Arthur and Mary “Isabel” (Silva) Perreira. Michael’s work life was spent doing what he loved. He was a Maître D for Venus de Milo for over 10 years, he owned and operated D&M Enterprises, and was a Quality Control driver for Boston Trailer for 9 years. He was an avid sports fan, especially for the Patriots and Red Sox. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Along with his wife he is survived by his children Carolyn Babb and her husband Jesse of Fall River, Edward Perreira of Chicago and Lori Peixoto and her husband Raymond of Fall River; step-daughters Christine Kraus and her husband Kurt, and Rebecca Geminiani and her husband Richard; grandchildren Jacob and Brandon Babb, Britney Handrigan, Michael and Zachary Medeiros, Alexis Geminiani and step-grandchildren Raymond and Kyle Peixoto; great-grandchildren Mia and Olivia Peixoto and Wyatt and Ezra Babb. He also leaves behind his lifelong friends Philomena Perreira and Betsy Winnard and nieces Lisa Carvalho and Cynthia Rego.
Following cremation his funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River Friday, Oct. 9th with extended calling hours from 8:30-10:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church at 11:00 A.M.
