Worcester - Russell E. Dube Sr., 82, of 39 First Street died Sunday July 14 in Worcester Medical Center - St. Vincent Hospital.
He leaves his wife of 61 years Dorothy L. (Braley) Dube of Worcester; two sons Russell E. Dube Jr. of Holden and Robert R. Dube of Boynton Beach, FL; two daughters Dorothy L. Blanchard of Chula Vista, CA and Cheryl A. Werner of Scotch Plains, NJ; two sisters Elaine P. Dube and Vivian A. Norris both of Worcester; 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Mr. Dube was born in Worcester son of Ernest and Florence (Ayotte) Dube and lived here all of his life.
Mr. Dube worked as a sales manager for 20 years at the Aquarium Center in West Boylston retiring in 1985.
He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church and a former member of the Worcester Lodge of Elks #341 where he was a past Chaplain. He was also a member of the 39ers club at Coes Pond Village.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday July 17 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.Royfuneral.com) 12 Hammond St. with a mass at 10 AM in St. Charles Borromeo Church 341 June St.. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Mausoleum. Calling hours are on Tuesday July 16 from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home.
