Obituary

Marilyn A. (Wright) Gazzola, 84, of Franklin, died peacefully on Friday, September 18, 2020. The beloved wife of Daniel F. Gazzola for 54 years, Marilyn was born in Brookline and was the daughter of the late George and Phyllis (Buchanan) Wright. Marilyn is survived by her five children, Michael and his wife Laura of Quincy, Shelley Venturoso of Mashpee, Diane of Franklin, Janine Gesimondo of Naples, FL, and Marc and his wife Kristen of Franklin. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, David Venturoso and his wife Susan, Jenna Biscoe and her husband Tim, Kevin Venturoso; John, Eric, and Brad Gesimondo; Julianne Gazzola; Gianna Gazzola; two great-grandchildren, Declan Biscoe and Sienna Venturoso, and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Norman and Alan Wright.

Marilyn grew up in Brookline and graduated from Brookline High School. She lived in Franklin for over sixty years and operated the family business The Alpine Press with her husband for over 40 years. In addition to spending time with her family, Marilyn enjoyed making clothes for her young daughters and knitting beautiful sweaters for all the generations of her family.

Private services will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Franklin and the family plans to hold a memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VNA Hospice (www.vnacare.org), in appreciation of the wonderful care provided to Marilyn.
