Dorothy Whitley Lott, 87, of Ocilla, Georgia, passed away in the early morning hours of September 18, 2020 at Palemon Gaskins Memorial Nursing Home in Ocilla, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 4 PM, Saturday, September 19, 2020, at Brushy Creek Cemetery in Irwin County, with the Rev. Joey Whitley officiating.
Mrs. Lott was born November 18, 1932 in the Lax community of Irwin County. She was the third child, and only girl, of Albert and Myrtice Whitley. Mrs. Lott was a former Dietician at Irwin County Hospital. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, crocheting and trips to the beach. She was member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Mrs. Lott is survived by her brothers Carlton Whitley (Joann) and Billy Whitley, both of Ocilla. Survivors also include her nephews Stanley Whitley (Brenda) and Joey Whitley (Zema). She was especially fond of her nephews and great nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lott was preceded in death by her son Larry Lott and his wife Paulette, one nephew Keith Whitley, and two brothers: Marvin and Bobby Whitley.
