Donna (Hobbs) Damon passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Sippican Healthcare Center in Marion, MA.
She was born on September 2, 1926 in Waltham, MA, the daughter of Edward Stanley Hobbs, Jr., DDS and Laura (Burgess) Hobbs.
Donna attended the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. She enjoyed gardening, tennis, golf and birdwatching, with a special affinity for owls. She loved hosting family gatherings. Her primary focus was raising her children to be caring and thoughtful people with strong family ties
Donna married Neil Fairfield Damon in 1945 and they enjoyed almost 70 years of marriage together. Neil and Donna traveled extensively. They enjoyed winters in Ft Pierce Florida and summers in Rhode Island, Western Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
Donna leaves three children, Linda Gurney and her husband Brad of Rochester, Massachusetts, John Damon and his wife Annastatia of Westerly, Rhode Island, and Neil Damon and his wife Janet of Providence, Rhode Island . She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
