Roger Alfred Roberts, Sr., 81, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Roberts was born April 7, 1939, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Clifton Sims Roberts and the late Willa Barron Love. He was a truck driver and worked for Triangle Pools and DaLan Trucking. He enjoyed coin-collecting as well as crushing aluminum cans and collecting scrap metal. He loved watching the Atlanta Braves.
He is survived by his son, Roger Alfred Roberts, Jr. of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Jason Lee Moore, Timothy Dale Roberts, Dexter Allen Roberts, and Abbie Gail Roberts; and a brother, Kenneth Gordon Roberts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Melba Ruth Pafford Roberts.
