Obituary

Standish - Marion E. (Robie) MacMillan, 78, of Standish passed away on September 12, 2020 at the Barron Center in Portland with family at her side. She will be greatly missed.

Marion was born in Biddeford on June 1, 1942 the last of three children born to Joseph and Elda (Guyette) Robie. She was raised in Kennebunk and attended Kennebunk schools.

On August 8, 1959 Marion married Robert MacMillan and lived in Scarborough before moving to Standish to raise their girls and thus began her true calling, while Marion enjoyed camping, cooking, baking, listening to the oldies, and various shopping outings with her girls, her greatest passion was her deep love, devotion, and compassion to her husband and daughters. Her family was her world and meaning for life. She was the quiet strength of her family but when needed, fiercely protective of those she cherished most. She was a role model to her girls in their becoming the devoted, compassionate and loyal adults they are today. Her husband and her family were her EVERYTHING.

Marion was a 30 year employee and food service supervisor for MSAD # 6 retiring in 2007. While she enjoyed the many employees she worked alongside, she truly enjoyed preparing and serving the children of the MSAD # 6 district.
