Stephen James Mullen, 28, of Brockton, Massachusetts, formerly of Whitman, passed away at Tuft’s Medical Center Thursday, September 10, 2020 while awaiting a heart and liver transplant. Stephen was the beloved son of Gena G. Mullen and the late James W. Smith, stepson of Jay P. Rattenbury.
Stephen, a 2010 graduate of South Shore Vocational Technical High School, was known for having a heart of gold and selfless devotion to others. Stephen had an outrageous sense of humor and an immense love for his family, friends, his dog Mocha.
He leaves behind his loving grandparents Ronald & Katherine Mullen, uncles - John & James Mullen, aunts - Kate Mullen, Heather Mullen, and Ann Brady, as well as his adoring cousins Katherine, Joseph, Justin and Olivia.
Calling hours will be Thursday September 17, from 4pm-8pm at Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman. Private graveside service will be held Friday in the Colebrook Cemetery, Whitman.
