RAHILLY, William J. 'BILLY' age 72 of Boston, Ma.
passed away on Sunday September 6, at The Kaplan Family Hospice House
in Danvers, Ma.
Billy was born on November 14, 1947 in Boston, to the late James J. Rahilly and
Aphrodite Sarantakes. He is the brother of the late Constance "BONNIE" Rahilly-Baker.
Billy attended Boston Technical High School, Huntington Prep and then when on
to attend the University of Miami.
He loved traveling, especially visiting Greece as he did for many summers throughout his life.
He enjoyed the company of family and friends while sharing many laughs and memories over a good meal. He also loved watching his favorite Boston Sports teams. He worked as a Union Stagehand for I.A.T.S.E Local#11 in Boston for 36 years before retiring in 2013.
He is survived by his nephew Jarrett Baker and his wife Denise of Methuen, Ma, his nephew Keith Baker and his wife Cliodhna of Woburn, Ma, his niece Ashley Baker (godchild) and her significant other Antonio of Medford, his cousin Donna Meaney of Brockton, Ma and her two daughters Kimberly Carlozzi and Jennifer Tieri (godchild) and Godfather to Giannis Koulendakis of Agios Nikolas, Crete. He is also survived by his great nephew Shea Baker and many other close family and friends.
A funeral mass will be held at St. James The Greater Church in Boston, Ma 125 Harrison Ave on Saturday September 12, 2020 at 10 a.m
immediately followed by a burial at Forest Hills Cemetery in Jamaica Plain.
A future social gathering celebrating the lives of Billy and his mother Aphrodite will be held at a future date.
