New Bedford – Natalie (Elenterio) Mello, age 92, of New Bedford passed away on Monday, September 7, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred Mello.
Born in New Bedford, MA she was the daughter of the late Joaquim Elenterio and Alexandra (Brum) Elenterio. Natalie had worked over the years at various local businesses, Roarts Laundromat, Frionor and Cliftex Corp. She loved to sing, shop, especially loved her animals and enjoyed spending time in the outdoors. Natalie was loved by everyone and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Natalie is survived by her 3 children, Paul Mello, Darlene Viera and Rodney Mello and his girlfriend Karyn Langlois; grandchildren, Melissa Ramos and her husband Duane, Jennifer Taylor and her husband James, Scott Mello, Joshua Mello and Garrett Donaghy and her great-grandchildren, Aleah Ramos, Amani Ramos and Caleb Taylor.
Natalie’s visiting hours and funeral services will be held on Friday morning, September 11, 2020. Visiting hours will be held from 8:00 A.M. – 10:00 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
All attendees are required by current mandated restrictions to wear a face covering and to practice social distancing of 6 feet. Attendance will be limited in order to meet the mandated capacity restrictions.
