WORCESTER-Patrick P. Dunn, 60 of 10 September Street died Monday, July15th in St. Vincent Hospital after an illness. He leaves a son, Patrick S. Dunn of Worcester; a daughter, Kathleen Dunn of Albany; his mother, Edna (Lawler) Dunn of Waukesha, WI; a brother, David Dunn of Waupaca, WI; a sister, Margo Tamborski of Big Bend, WI and several nieces and nephews. 2 brothers, Michael and Charles Dunn predeceased him.
He was born in Cudahy, WI son of George Dunn and moved to Worcester 28 years ago. Mr. Dunn received his bachelor’s degree from Marquette University and went on to get his masters degree and Ph. D from Duke University. Mr. Dunn was a professor of Humanities at WPI for 28 years and received the Professor of the Year Award in 1988. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church and a former member of the Worcester Sister Cities Program.
The funeral and burial will take place in Cudahy, WI. Calling hours will be Tuesday, July 16th in O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Catholic Relief Services, P.O. Box 17090, Baltimore, MD 21298-9664.
