Obituary

Janet Katherine Keleher
October 1, 1942- September 3, 2020

Janet Katherine (Boyd) Keleher, 77, of Carmel, passed away unexpectedly on September 3, 2020 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

She was born on October 1, 1942 in Anderson and was the daughter of William and Sarah Vilcsek. She attended St. Mary's School and Indiana University. She was an interior decorator and owner of Sarah Lee Interiors in Anderson, IN. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and the Victoria Guild.

Janet's life was devoted to being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She found happiness in baking cookies with her granddaughters, taking them shopping, and watching all of her grandchildren play in their sporting events. She was an avid IU Basketball fan. She was often found on her porch tending to all of her flowers. She was ever the conversationalist and you would always leave a conversation with a smile on your face. If you ever needed to know what was happening in the news, call Janet because she could tell you and she might also give you her opinion about it. Her family will miss her Christmas fudge and her homemade chicken and noodles; but above all else, they will miss her stories, songs, dramatics, humor and love.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Kerry Keleher; son Michael (wife Kimberly) Keleher and their children; William, Benjamin, Adam and Anne; daughter Sarah (husband Jamey) King and their children; Harrison, Caroline and Claire; son Kenneth (wife Mary) Keleher and children Michael (wife Candice) Keleher, and Shannon; and great granddaughter, Tinley; a sister Judy Roy and brother Mark Vilcsek and several nieces and nephews; and very special cousins Tom and Pam Chambers.

A private mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anderson with burial following at East Maplewood Cemetery on September 10th. A private celebration of life ceremony will be held a Coxhall Gardens in Carmel, IN.

As a breast cancer survivor, memorial contributions may be given to Susan G. Koman Foundation.
