Nakia R. Hie, 26, of New Bedford died August 23, 2020.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of Sherri L. Barrows of New Bedford, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Survivors include her mother; her companion, Joel B. Baez of New Bedford; 2 daughters, Rylie Baez and Saige Baez, both of New Bedford; 2 brothers, Ross Pires and Tyrell Thomas of New Bedford; a sister Jazmin Barrows of New Bedford; grandparents, Brenda and Theodore Christian and Steve Barrows, all of New Bedford; a great-grandmother, Laura Zompa of Mattapoisett; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Her visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 1st from 4-8 PM at the Saunders Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Please be advised that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there are strict guidelines that must be adhered to for the safety of everyone. You MUST wear a mask to be allowed entry to the services. Please practice social distancing and avoid any close contact. Guests will be permitted to pay their respects and depart to allow the next guests to enter.
