Obituary

Mr. Estael-Petit-Frere 82 of Dorchester, born In St. Louis Du Nord, Haiti on September 12, 1937, entered eternal rest on Friday, August 28, 2020. Estael was the son of the late Innocent Petit-Frere and Mezzuliz Escarman Petit-Frere. He was the fifth of nine children. In the 50's Estael migrated to the Bahamasand worked in the hospitaality business as a waiter. In 1969, he married his wife the late Octamise Petit-Frere, whom he knewsince thery were children in St. Louis Du Nord. A year intotheir marriagethey had their first son Wilgard Petit-Frere.
In the early 70's he settled into Boston, MA. In 1977, his wife joined him in Boston, and a couple of years later, they welcomed their second son, Estal Petit-Frere, Jr., followed by their only daughter Marline Petit-Frere Gordon.
Estael, to everyone, was known as Ti Papa. He worked for MGH, Mass Eye and Ear, Spaulding for many years and finally retired from Brigham and Women's Hospital.
Ti Papa loved his family and friends. His home was open to all. He loved all types of music, all sports, celebrating with family and friends, and dancing. His passion was dominos, which he loved to play all the time.
Ti Papa passed away on August 28, 2020. Beloved husband of the lste Octamise (Charles) Petit-Frere. Devoted father of Marline Petit-Frere Gordon, Wilgard Petit-Frere, and Estal Petit-Frere. Brother of Hiram Petit-Frere, Joseph Petit-Frere, Gaspard Petit-Frere,
Luciene Petit-Frere Francois, Erzulia Petit-Frere, Yvana Petit-Frere Nicolas, Innocine Petit-Frere Pierre Marie Therese Petit-Frere. Also survived by 7 grandchildren.
Family and friends will Celebrate Estael's life by gathering for visiting hours in the Joseph Russo Funeral Home, 814 American Legion Highway, Roslindale, on Saturday September 5 From 9-11 AM.
Followed by a funeral service.
Interment will be immediately after the service at Saint Michael cemetery, Roslindale.

Due to the Current Covid 19 restrictions only 25 guests are allowed in the funeral home at a time.
All visitors must wear a MASK in the funeral home and on the funeral home property.
All visitors will then follow SAFE DISTANCING
All visitors may pause at Casket/Urn and then EXIT the Funeral Home.
All visitors when returning to their cars will please exit the property to allow others to enter.
All visitors will be able to greet family members from a safe distance but not able to touch.
