Rita Elizabeth (Corbisiero) Petringa, age 91, of Wakefield passed away on Sunday, August 23. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Bartholomew and Pasqualina (Santosuosso) Corbisiero. When she was five years old, Rita's family moved when to Medford where she graduated from high school in 1946, and later graduated from Chamberlayne Secretarial School. Rita married Vincent “Jimmy” Petringa in 1955 and lived most of her life in Medford until she recently moved to Wakefield. Rita is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Vincent Petringa, her niece Marie Holt, many more loving family and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, 175 Broadway, Malden on Friday, August 28 at 12 noon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with family in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Man St., Medford, from 11 through 11:30 AM prior to the service.
