Manuela A. (Araujo) Garcia, 76, died Sunday, February 26 at her home after a long period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Joao F. Garcia. Born in Flores, Azores, Portugal, she moved to the US in 1974, settling in Stoughton. Mrs. Garcia worked as an assembler at Analog Devices in Norwood for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by her son, John A. Garcia of Stoughton. She was the sister of Natalia Santos and Odette Sousa both of Stoughton and Rue Araujo of RI and is also survived by 2 grandchildren.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, March 3 at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:15 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday 4-8 PM. Donations in Manuela’s name may be made to the Hospice of Greater Brockton, 500 Belmont St., Brockton, 02301. Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
